Impressions Art Gallery & Studio, featuring paintings by Stephen Moore.  H2O Captain has taken Mr. Moore out several times to find subjects for his many wonderful paintings and owns one of his pieces!

Some well-known people are from MHC, including architect Bill Ransom Campbell, author Gerald R. Weeks, and Major League Baseball pitcher Lonnie Chisenhall.  Food Network personality Guy Fieri filmed his family reunion specials in MHC,  touring several of its restaurants and markets, including Floyd's and Sanitary.

North Carolina Maritime Museum Captain Mark is a member of the Friends of the North Carolina Maritime Museum at this waterfront museum which preserves the tradition of wooden boat building as well as other facets of North Carolina's maritime heritage. H2O Captain sponsored the Maritime Heritage Lecture Series for 2023 (the museum is not live-streaming in 2024).
