H2O Captain Eco-Tour Boat Excursions

Boat to Cape Lookout and Shackleford

At the intersection of Safety & Fun!  H2O Captain has earned all 5star*****ratings on Google My Business, Facebook & TripAdvisor!!!!!

Reawaken your inner traveler.  Adventure awaits...H2O Captain Eco-Tour Private Boat Excursions is an authorized permittee of the National Park Service's Cape Lookout National Seashore to be able to perform boat tours on water and on land guide services to view the wild horses and discover great shelling on Shackleford Banks, our MOST POPULAR excursion, as well as The Cape Lookout Lighthouse, plus many other outing adventures, and we are regulated by the USCG to go into the North Atlantic Ocean!
Our Private Boat Tours lasts 2 to 12 hours depending on which excursion you choose. The itinerary is flexible.
•  The typical departure time is 11:00 am.  Most groups ask to depart from Atlantic Beach as they receive a longer boat ride, as well as getting to see Money Island with its 4 goats, get to ride on the ICW, view the commercial port of Morehead City, plus the waterfronts of Morehead City and Beaufort, see all of the Rachel Carson Preserve...and it offers FREE parking for 1 car just right off the Causeway!
•
The advantages gained in the H2O Captain Center Console Walkaround boat over a flatboat are more square footage for the passengers, a larger storage area, and a more comfortable ride in waves and chop, especially since all passengers sit on cushioned seats. Hence, we are even permitted to go into the ocean by the National Park Service, something the USCG doesn't recommend for a flat bottom boat. Please note the relatively high deadrise and freeboard, both of which make our boat a more capable and safe vessel.
•  We have the creature comforts you have asked for!  All passengers are accommodated on cushioned seats, which is needed for any excursion lasting more than 15 minutes. H2O Captain is NOT a ferry boat!  Passengers can see and talk with each other and can sit very comfortably for an extended time!
•  A dining table can be set up by Capt Mark if you bring lunch & prefer to dine on the H2O Captain Ultra Elite boat!
•  To get out of the heat of the sun or Mother Nature's rain, we have a bimini to stand under.
•  Locals will tell you to fight the wind, waves, and try to beat the squalls, an engine of at least 140hp is required for a 21' vessel. The H2O Captain vessel is equipped with an engine of 150hp with your safety in mind.
•  In addition, any excursion going to engage in discovering great shelling will receive as their keepsake, an official H2O Captain shelling bag!

Mission StatementRegarding safety, Captain Mark is the creator, producer, writer, and voice of the public service announcements,  Boating Safety Minute (link) heard throughout the season on FM107.1, AM1240, & FM92.9, which is presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

H2O Captain has received the blessing of the USCG as the company participates in the voluntary safety program receiving a formal and detailed Safety Inspection of its boat from bow to stern.

The best days of the week for serenity to create a wonderful experience are weekdays.  Excursions start at $439.

We offer the best way to safely social distance, to be your stress reliever, and to consider your health & wellness.  Please know that Captain Mark has received both doses of the C-19 vaccine and its booster.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy our many miles of shoreline. By walking on the uncrowded beach while seeing our wild horses and great shelling on Shackleford, take a scenic boat ride down the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to Swansboro to have lunch, hopefully, see a pod of bottlenose dolphins (Flipper), or enjoy going round the waterfronts of the quaint and historic towns of Beaufort and Morehead City, and viewing the Rachel Carson Preserve, not to mention crossing the Beaufort Inlet while you see and feel the North Atlantic Ocean as you explore all from the comfort of our Carolina Skiff 21 foot Ultra Elite Series.

You will be greeted by Captain Mark and his 1st Mate "Lucky" the dog.  "Lucky is amazing, I love that dog!!!  He can be in my boat anytime.” –Captain Jose P.  Should you be allergic, Lucky will wait on land.

We believe in the power of bringing water and people together. This is why our excursions create compelling memories that deliver life-changing experiences!  Welcome Aboard, Enjoy the Excursions!
