NC Marine Fisheries logoNC Marine Fisheries Commission, a part of the NC Department of Environmental Quality, has asked Captain Mark to serve another year (2024) on the Habitat and Water Quality Advisory Committee.  This Marine Fisheries Committee provides insights and comments directly to the Commission for consideration during their decision-making process.

All advisors are appointed by the Marine Fisheries Commission Chair and is comprised of Commissioners and Advisers that consider matters concerning habitat and water quality that may affect coastal fisheries resources and is responsible for the stewardship of the state’s marine and estuarine resources. The DMF’s jurisdiction encompasses all coastal waters and extends to 3 miles offshore.
